Gujarat Health Commissioner and Principal Secretary Anil Mukam addressed a press conference today. In which they said that all schools and colleges have been ordered to be closed in Gujarat from Monday, March 16 to March 31. They also said that mall-multiplexes and swimming pools have also been ordered to remain closed for two weeks. Religious institutions have also been appealed for not doing programs that bring people together. Anganwadi has also been ordered to remain closed for two weeks. At the same time, internal examination of the school and college has been postponed.
However, the government has ordered that teachers and staff have to be present in the office. It was also stated that the examination of standard 10 and 12 would continue as per the rules. At the same time, the Commissioner of Health advised people to be careful and not to go to crowded places.
The Health Commission said there were 104 helplines operating for the Corona virus. And the system is well equipped to handle the situation. The decision was taken at a meeting between Chief Switch and Health Commissioner chaired by the Chief Minister.
